REACH impacts on a wide range of companies across many sectors, even those who may not think of themselves as being involved with chemicals.
How are we REACH compliant? Burgess as a downstream user identifies and manages the risks linked to the substances that we manufacture and market in the EU.
Classification, Labelling & Packaging Regulation
Purpose is to ensure a high level of protection of health and the environment, as well as the free movement of substances, mixtures and articles. CLP is to determine whether a substance or mixture displays properties that lead to a hazardous classification. In this context, classification is the starting point for hazard communication.
How are we CLP compliant? Even though the CLP does not directly effect down stream users like Burgess Colours. We are aware of the regulation and its place within the market. Ultimately our suppliers should have notified respective substances of its hazardous classification earlier in the supply chain.
We also comply to European food contact standards AP 89(1) and EN-71 for use in toys, its various amendments and adaptations.
